Wright. state Insur ance commissioner, said today that the allegations in the Miles suit against the Rome Insurance Company were true In th» main. He asserted that a syndi cate of stockholders and directors of the Rome company did take profits on the sale of throe for one stock, an ac tion which they maintained was legal and were willing to test in court. They were requested to turn the money back to the company and one of the officers. Captain J. 1.. Bass. did. Bass is made an exception in Miles' suit As regards the merger General Wright said that it had bet n authorized and the reinsurance in the Cherokee company would be made on August 2. The Rome company; hr said, would I he strengthened by the merger. The suit, he said, was an outgrowth of a Stockholder s' disagreement and did not affect the standing of the company or the policy holders.
