SALONIKA, EUROPEAN TURKEY,
Aug, 6.—Turkish gendarmes and sol
diers have massacred many Bulgarian
inhabitants of the town of Kochana tc
avenge a recent bomb outrage, accord
ing to word received from there today.
More than 100 persons were killed by
the explosion of an infernal machine at
Kochana recently, the most of the vic
tims being Turks and Turkish sympa
thizers.

Frank Bedford, driver of an ice wagon
in Pittston, threw the iron tongs on the
floor of tiie wagon. They bounced out
and struck in the neck Reese Evans, a
four-year-old boy. who was riding or,
the steps, severing the jugular vein and
causing death.
