12 THE ATLANTA GEORGIAN AND NEWS. Poultry, Pet and Live Stock. No one would think of going Into J ] the mercantile or the manufactur ing business as a 7 , recreation, but /■'>■/) would be more L ’ likely to take up poultry breeding or some other so- Tfl€ called fad or sport to divert the mln 1 y . 7 and give it rest tOUItKV from the strain of ’’ •trenuous busi ness activity. / l/ir/zii- However. the LJUI lUf poultry business while it has lost none of its charms as a recreation and diversion from busi ness cares, has also become a profitable employment, and may not longer be counted among the 'side issues." but a stable business capable of rendering as large a per cent of profit as any other legitimate and important line of business activity. Time was when men and women of means Invested in the poultry business because they had the means, and could Indulge themselves In anything that their heart desired, whereas the poor man had to go slow The poor man has to go slow now In his investing In the poultry business, but may be reason ably sure that his Investment, ever so small, will render him pro rata dolla for dollar, judiciously Invested, as large a profit as in any other business There is no line of business which has a firmer foundation than the poul try business, and yet, of course, fail ures are just as possible In the poultry business as anv other, and not more so. People fall In all kinds of business. It is not the fault of the business A practical, scientific knowledge of the poultry business Is required In or der to succeed The idea that, the poultry business Is just the one for retired merchants, pro fessors. Invalids and the like to take up, who are not able to follow their regular occupation, unless they have had some practical experience and knowledge of the business, 1s a mis taken Idea Our advice to such 1s to Invest moderately until some practical knowledge of the business Is had. Marietta street Is the next street to get enhance ment. It will naturally follow the physical developments that are now being made on that street, together with the completion of the Bell wood avenue viaduct, which Is now being built. We call especial attention to 3 large corner lots between the via duct and North avenue. Over a quarter of a million dol lars worth of land has been sold on this street within the last week, and It Is safe to predict that in the next year over two million dollars worth of property will be sold on this street. There are now over 3200,000 in new buildings under way. We believe that the lots referred to above will make you big money. For particulars, see either Mr. Eve or Mr. Hook. IF YOU HAVE MONEY TO LOAN. Following the services last night the 7,000 persons present voted unanimously that Rev. Bob Jones, of Montgomery, Ala., be chosen as the successor to the great Cartersville evangelist. Revivals have been held with Rev. Bob Jones leading, assisted by Dr. P. W. Munhall, of Philadelphia. So great success met Mr. Jones' efforts that the decision was reached to make the serv ices a yearly feature as was done in the lifetime of Sam Jones. When the time came to choose the leader for next summer the widow of Sam Jones made the suggestion that a vote be taken. W hile Rev. Bob Jones resembles greatly his predecessor in his way of preaching and in the success of his re vivals, he is original himself and dif fers in many ways.
