BOOTH IS BURIED AS MJ WEEPS London Suspends Business as Long Funeral Cortege Moves Through Great City. LONDON. Aug. 29.—Amidst scenes of hearttouching grief, the late Gen eral William Booth, patriarch and fbufider of the Salvation Army, was laid to rest beside the body of his wife in Abney Park cemetery. Burial of a dearly beloved potentate could hardly have caused a parallel for the pathetic exhibitions of general grief as the catafalque moved through the streets of London. As the procession moved by business was suspended. London paid its tribute to the mem ory of the great international evangel ist with unmistakable sincerity. Mourn, ers from over seas stood with tearful eyes as the funeral ranks swept by. More than 5.000 members of the Sal vation Army, representing all parts ot the world, were in line. The procession moved away from the Thames embankment at 11:30 o'clock. Forty brass bands played sacred music as the procession moved. Blood and Are banners, the emblem of the Salvation Army, waved above the marchers. «?Thousands Stand Uncovered.
