To the Superior Court of Said Countv:
The petition of
EXCHANGE AUTOMOBILE COMPANY
respectfully shows:
1. That at the May term, 1912. of said
court your petitioner was granted a
charter empowering said corporation to
engage in the general business of buy
ing selling and repairing automobiles,
and that since said time said Exchange
Automobile Company has been operating
under said charter.
2. On September 7, 1913. at the meeting
of the stockholders of said corporation,
called for the purpose of considering the
advisability of going out of business and
surrendering said charter, a resolution
was passed by a unanimous vote of all
the stockholders authorizing the dissolu
tion and liquidation of said corporation,
together with the surrender of its char
ter; and providing for the settlement in
full of all its Indebtedness and thereafter
a division of its assets among the stock
holders.
3. Petitioner shows that at the present
time it has assets of the approximate
value of $5,000 and owes approximately
SSOO.
4 Petitioner shows that the Interests of
creditors and stockholders will be best
conserved by a dissolution of the corpora
tion and the acceptance by the state of
Georgia of its charter.
Wherefore. Petitioner prays for an or
der of this honorable court fixing the time
for the hearing of this petition, and for
such other and further orders as may be
necessary for a legal dissolution of 'said
corporation as provided for in the acts
of 1910. page 106. of the state of Georgia

ANYWAY, JERRY
OBEYS ORDERS
Dan Carey has an employee in the park
department for whom he claims the rec
ord as a practical joker. He told of one
of the Irishman's pranks, but said it
would be unfair to give the names of the
principals.
The Irishman. Jerry will do for a name
for this story, worked as janitor for a
well known Atlanta Catholic priest. He
indulged in frequent sprees.
“If you get drunk again.’’ said the
priest, “I will discharge you.”
Jerry said to some of his friends: “If
e wasn't a pr-riest I would call ’im a
cr-rank: for-r if you take a bottle of
near-r beer-r your’re a dr-runkard for-r
life to ’im.”
But Jerry took more than one bottle of
near-beer and the priest told him to put
all the things he had given him in the
servant's room and call at his (the
priest’s) room the next morning for his
pay.
When the priest was aroused next
morning he was horrified to find Jerry
standing on the porch stark naked.
"What in tlie world do you mean?”
cried the priest, as he opened the door
and pulled Jerry inside.
"You told me to leave all you had
given me in the ser-r-vant’s r-room. You
gave me every r-rag I’ve got, and I was
just obeyin’ your or-rders,” replied Jerry
avithout the least excitement.

chants, purchased from W. F. Brannon
the first bale of the staple marketd

to be confined largely to middle and
south Georgia.
