Kelly, who Is acting as Hugh Mclntosh's repre sentative In the fighting game. has ar rived in town In company with Tom An drews. of Milwaukee, Kelly was hopeful of securing Jack Johnson for a match In Australia. Johnson recently lost his wife through death and probably hue not fully recovered from the shook. Kelly did not seek Johnson In person, but Instead ar ranged for an Interview with Al Tierney, who, It is understood, la a sort of manager and adviser for Johnson. Kelly says he Is authorised to give Johnson $.70,000 and three round-trip tick ets for two fights. One must be with Kam Langford, for which Jack Is to get $30.- 000, the other with either Joe Jeannette or Kam McVey, 820,000 being the price set for that affair It is not Kelly’s plan |o return home If he falls to win over any of the heavyweights.
