T. H. RAPS BRYAN IN HOB STATE Says Commoner Is Trying to Give False Impression to Re lations With Harriman. HOLDREGE. NEBR., Sept. 20. Colonel Roosevelt renewed his attack upon William J. Bryan today in his Invasion of Nebraska. At Denver last night the ex-president declared that Mr. Bryan is trying to give a mislead ing impression as to the visit of E. H. Harriman at the white house in 1904. “I have nothing to conceal about Mr. Harriman’s visit,” said Colonel Roose velt today. ‘‘Mr. Bryan insinuates that Mr. Harriman came to see me' because I wanted him to contribute to the cam paign fund. Now, if I had wanted that I woud not have, written to him what I wafted to see him about could wait just is well until after election. If it was money I wanted for the campaign, I wculd have written that I wished to •ee him before election. If a man is honorable after what I have said about this, he will not go about repeating what Mr. Bryan has said, and if any man does repeat it, I shall pay no at tention to him. He will be unworthy of notice.” Roosevelt has a hard two days of campaigning before him in Bryan’s own state. Tonight he speaks at Omaha and starts again tomorrow at Hast ings. Johnson, Fatigued, Cancels Day’s Tour INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 20.—After a conference early this morning with State Chairman Edwin M. Lee, of the Progressive party. Governor Johnson, of California, decided to cancel the speaking trip scheduled for him today through the north and central part of the state. He was to have spoken at Noblesville, Kokomo, Marion, Anderson and intermediate towns. Mr. Johnson will go direct from Indianapolis to Cin cinnati early thia afternoon. Thecause of the abrupt change in plans was that the governor was almost exhausted by the hard schedule carried out yester day and felt that he could not make the entire itinerary without putting him self in such a physical condition that he could not do justice in Ohio. The governor found 5,000 people waiting at Tomlinson hall when he ar rived at 9 o’clock last night and ad dressed them for one hour. DIRIGIBLE BALLOON WRECKED, LONDON, Sept. 20.—The devise diri gible balloon Gamma was wrecked near here while returning from Hardwicks, the army maneuver camp. Sept. 20.—Patrolman Voyce took to central station a man clad in a swallow-tail coat, peanut der by, celluloid shirt front and what ap peared to be a pair of white tights, but which proved to be his undergarment. He had found the man asleep in a door way. Lieutenant Seth Singleton made the man doff his coat and thrust his legs into the sleeves and button himself up the back upside down. The man said he was Phil Smith, and that he was perfectly satisfied with the swallow-tail trousers. FEEL Ms, BILIOUS. HEADACHY OR CONSTIPATED? TOE GASGAFIETS Sick headaches! Always trace them to lazy liver, delayed, fermenting food in the bowels or a sick stomach. Poi sonous, constipated matter,, gases and bile generated in the bowels, instead of being carried out of the system, is re absorbed into the blood. When this poison reaches the delicate brain tissue It causes congestion and that dull, sick ening headache. Cascarets remove the cause by stimu lating the liver, making the bile and constipation poison move on and out of CANDY IO CENT BOXES-ANY DRUG STORE ' • ALSO 25 &50 CENT BOXES- __ (Advert isement.) r A COMPLETE CLOTHING STORE ' /> WW’li h iMfr Wall ? i Ar V-** fWi WWJRIIII ■| / /( rAw 15 1 / I"' Men: Are You Ready? —Here is a suggestion for every man who wants a good suit at a moderate price. —We have arranged a special assortment of up-to-date ‘fall suits at $15 —splendid value, and fully guaranteed. —Other new styles from sl2 to S3O. —Cash or convenient payments.
