Because he is a vigorous man in his early prime, and we need a VIGOROUS man to do our work. 2 Because he is a courageous man, and we need a COURAGEOUS man to wrestle with our municipal problems. 3. Because he is a growing man, of open mind, and his mind has not hardened into a mere bundle of prejudices. We need a GROWING MAN for a GROWING CITY. 4 Because he is clean of thought, clean of speech, clean of habit, all coupled with per sonal integrity, and we need a CLEAN as well as an HONEST Mayor if Atlanta is to set a proper example as a Metropolitan City. x 5 Because during his service as Councilman he has shown himself absolutely fair to every section, and has studied the City’s business until he is acknowledged to be the best informed man we have as to City affairs. Tutwiler, 7 Because he has been vilified and lied about most scandalously in this campaign, his traducers never coming out in the open, and we want to set the seal of disap proval on this style of campaigning, and show the character assassins that At lanta stands for FAIR PLAY and a SQUARE DEAL. 8 Because he can, and will, give us better service than any of his opponents, and our duty to the community demands that we shall do that thing which is best for the City, regardless of our personal prejudices or preferences. 9 Because being progressive, capable and energetic, he has naturally become a lead er, and, as might have been expected, a lot of mossback Bourbons are yelling “ring.” A ring is a FINISHED product, and of this the Bourbons are the best possible example. Chambers, as a real progressive, is the farthest possible from the ring. 10 Because his enemies are proclaiming that the Bond money was wasted, and he is responsible. This is a lie that demands punishment, and we must punish it with our votes. The Bond money has NOT been wasted. It has been expended EX ACTLY as was promised, insofar as it has been expended, and has been paid out under the constant supervision of the Bond Commission.
