HOW ATLANTA GROWS
Go around on the edges where you haven’t been in some i
time, and notice how the bungalows are springing up every
where.
See how the long lino of residences is reaching far out into
the fields, new streets being opened up everywhere, and the
building zone constantly pushed further out. Soon it will be a
serious matter to find a desirable building lot in four or five
miles of center.
Prudent people who can see a little ahead should provide
a home site now. A vacant lot bought now will keep all right
until the time conies when it is needed for actual building. We
have nice lots at all prices and can make easy terms.

Chas. C. Jones and His
Man “Friday”
To the People of Atlanta:
Mr. Woodward’s “Campaign Committee”—whoever they are
talk about “two piercing searchlights.”
Let’s raise the curtain on Mr. Woodward and play a searchlight
behind the scenes of his campaign.
Let’s play the SEARCHLIGHT ON MR. CHARLIE JONES.
Evidently Mr. Woodward is AFRAID TO LET THE PEOPLE
KNOW about Mr. Charlie Jones.
His “Campaign Committee” says Mr. Charlie Jones voted for
and supported “another candidate” IN THE FIRST PRIMARY.
Maybe so.
But what about this primary?
If Mr. Charlie Jones supported “another candidatte” in the first
primary it is strange he could offer me, before Mr. Woodward an
nounced, to keep Mr. Woodward out of the Mayor’s race and sup
port me provided I would support Mr. Woodward for Chief of Con
struction.
Failing to get me, he’s back with his old-time pal and political
“Man Friday”—James G. Woodward.
And properly so.
They’ve been in harness together for years and years.
They OUGHT TO STAY TOGETHER.
They’re a beautifully matched pair. They’ve worked side by side
a long, long time. They understand each other thoroughly, and they
suit each other fine.
Mr. Jones—the financier of the Woodward Campaign.
Mr. Jones—the owner of three mansions of prostitution on Me
chanic street.
Mr. Jones—the rich tenderloin landlord, who defies the Chief of
Police to evict his tenants.
Mr. Jones —who boasts in a front newspaper interview: “Yes, I
own three houses on Mechanic street, and I don’t care who knows
it.”
Mr. Jones—proclaimed as “the next Chief of Police” by the
Woodward workers at the Second ward polls on October 2d.
Os course, Mr. Woodward doesn’t approve Chief Beavers’ action.
How could he, in view of Mr. Charlie Jones?
Respectfully,
ALDINE CHAMBERS.
