To my mind, the grandest exhibition of the nobility of the character of Jesus is to be found in his answer to the self-righteous men who dragged before Him the fallen woman, expecting Him to condemn her. that they might stone her to death and shift the blame from their own consciences. "Let him who is without sin among you cast the first stone." What a crushing rebuke! And how infinitely Just! Persecution of unfortunate women, to carry with it the least semblance <>f Justice, c ould originate’w ith and he car ried on only by the pure women of the land, because if It were not for man’s depravity there would be no impure women. in the name of Justice, let men keep hands off. Justice! The embodiment of all that is right and the negation of all that is w rong. Surely every sect and denomination could agree on Justice as one of the cardinal tenets of their creed. Sincerely.
