is the principle that 1 have talked about over and

Men and women come in who have been treated for months or

ilcocnilj there was a gentlema i called on me who had been treat

■ him I was at loss to explain his symptoms.
Hui a thorough examination of his blood revealed a serious malarial
i . lion, which cleared the whole matter up.
Xow. as a matter of fact, malarial infections have usually chills.
k . prominent symptoms indicating the trouble, bin in this case no
such symptoms had occurred.
\t any rate, under proper treatment he is getting better.
Again, a patient calls for indigestion. Suffered with it for years
ii Can't understand why they can’i .tire this trouble. They dieted and
i.. lied him for some months in sanitariums, and had never received
anything more than temporary relief and seldom got that. A careful
nil .i.m opictil exani’naiioil of the feces shows up the whole trouble, or
at leas' sufficient to treat the case successfully.

I Hi" -h I had told her over and over again that she never did have it.
1 f ■t.'tits are now being treated for pellagra who have never had it at
\ careful aiiid thorough examination of the case reveals some
I other trouble, so the symptoms are very often attributed to pellagra.
I make no claims of being able to cute pellagra, but 1 do say this:
1 . . so pen cent of those cases who call on me that have been treated
d: r week and months after months for pellagra, have been ben-
| i filed and cured and had no pellagta treatment at all.
Hundreds of cases are going around the country getting one rheu-
! Ism medicine after the other, going from one doctor to another
Hing the doctor they had rheumatism, and he prescribing for them
I i.‘i me patient's statement, and a careful examination of the patient will
show that they never did have true rheumatism.
They had the rheumatic symptoms, it is true, pains and aches that
simulate rheumatism, but is the commencement of organic nervous
Trouble which if recognized early might be thoroughly cured.
I Every doctor that knows anything know: that lam absolutely cor
pci about this.
Don't you think I am right wh.-n I say there is entirely too much
i ;in s work by the average physician?
How many cases can you recall that you have known personally
few been treated for naif a dozen different diseases by as many dif
ferent doctors, each giving a different opinion.
Xecuracy and detinitem s is required today by. the profession more
than anything else.
If yon are interested in the subject, send for my Essays, which I
P'iblish at frequent intervals, or call and set' me. for a thorough exam
ination. No office south of the Mason & Dixon line is so thoroughly
tquipped for this kind of work as my own.'
