PHONE CHARTER ASKED.
Application was r<-n-ivt-d by the state
department today for a charter for the
1 Co-operative Telephone Company of
Dawson. The proposed lino will run
from Dawson to Cuthbert, Fort Gaines,
Blakely and Edison.
EXPERTS FIND BOOKS OF

The American Audit Company has
made a report on the books yf State
Treasurer Speer, which are carefully
checked up every year, showing every
thing to be in most satisfactory shape.
The company specificaly congratulated
the treasurer, through his bondsmen,
on “the careful and efficient manner in
which the finances of the state are con
ducted under Mr. Speer’s direction.”
Dr. Francis Reeves Bell.
Dr. Francis Reeves Bell, aged S 4
years, died at his home, 491 North
Boulevard, this morning at 3 o'clock.
He is survived by his wife and one son,
W. A. Bell. One brother, Harry Bell,
of Carswell, also survives.
