Bennett O'Hara, hteutenant governor i ot Illinois, called upon Governor Jo- i s -ph M. Brown to pay his respects and j get acquainted. I He spent half an hour with the I Georgia executive, discussing politics, j I crops and the state generally. Each ! official seemed to enjoy the visit ini- ■ j tnensely. I "1 have been hearing about Governor I ' Brown for years, said .Mr. O'Hara, ".‘.nd 1 determined, 'during a brief stay in Atlanta, to get acquainted with him. "1 had a fine talk with him. We dls i cussed everything. I think—mostly pol -1 itics and crops, however. I found him v< ry much Interested in James Hamll i ton Lewis, of my state, who is to be : one of the new senators. Some of | Governor Brown's people were associ i ated closely with 'Jim Harn’ when he was a youngster in Georgia, and that made us good friends right off the reel. We are strong for Lewis in my part of the country. “Governor Brown is a most interest , ing man. He certainly keeps tab on what is going on throughout the nation i ] politically.” |i Lieutenant Governor O'Hara is an old newspaper man, who quit the game several years ago, in order to have a try at politics. He says he really didn’t expect to be elected lieutenant govern or when he entered the race last spring, I and he says Lewis had no thought of I being elected senator, either, but both I were swept along safely in the Wilson I landslide.
