avenue, this afternoon, when Mrs. Law
and Miss Willie Russell Law enter
tained at a neighborhood party of 6'i
guests. Silk hose were tile prizes, both
for top seme and for consolation. R< -

The table in the dining loom w,-e
I covered with a laee cloth over jeilow
satin, and had for a centerpiece a cut
glass vase filled with large yellow
chrysanthemums. Silver candlesticks
held yellow tapers undei yellow shades,
anti the bonbons, ices and calos were
yellow. Mrs. Foster Law and Mrs. Bi
ron King assisted in entertaining
Mrs. Lav. wore blue charmeuse satin
combined with lace. Miss Law wore
taupe-colored charmeuv satin, the cor
sage trimmed in gold lace
Visitor Entertained.
Mfsaea Louise and Laura Ripley on
tertained at an informal bridge party
of three tables today in honor of Miss
Ama Randolph Smith, of Charleston,
the guest of Mrs. Peter Erwin. The
prizes were silk hose for top score and
for the honor guest Luncheon follow■•<!
the game.
This afternoon Miss Smith was the
guest of Miss Irene Austin tor tea at
the Piedmont Driving club A number
of small affairs have been given for the
visitor, among these being an informal
luncheon at the Brookhaven club by
Mrs. Edward L. Bishop.

Stirling have issued invitations to a tea
at the' Georgian Terrace on Wednes
day afternoon. December 11. from 4 un
til H o’clock, to meet Mrs. Johnson
Stirling, of London. England, and Miss
Jeanne Stirling, of Edinburgh. Scot
land, who are their house guests. The
guest- will include both married and
imnia ried friends, and the affair will
be one of the happiest events of the

Mrs. Stilling will entertain at two
i bridge patties this week, on Thursday
and Friday afternoons, at her home at
East Lake, in honor of her house
guests, and she lias invited a few

on Thursday at her home in Adel. The

the recent death of tne bride’s uncle.

will spend Christmas with Captain
Young s parents, in Pittsburg, Pa., and
will not return until th'- New Year,

' The lovely young bride-to-be is a
niece <>f Mrs. R G. Wilby and lias spent
much of her time here, both as a stu-
1 dent at Agnes Scott, and since her
1 graduation last summer. She was de
lightfully entertained last, summer as
the guest of Mrs. .lack Hayes at. Fort
Hamilton, near New York, with whom
she spent some time.
