Mrs. P. B. Johnson, of Thomson,
lias a beautiful entry of Huff Orping
tons. four beautiful pens and six single
entries. Mrs. Johnson is here with her
birds. They won third and fifth cock
erel. third and fourth pullet.
Mrs. P T. Calloway, of Washington,
made her usual tine winnings at this
show. On Single Comb Rhode Island
Red tntries she won first, third, fourth
and fifth cockerel, third, fourth and
fifth hens, fourth pullet. Mrs. Callo
way’s entry consists of 50 magnificent
birds.
Payne’s Poultry Yards. 506 t'rew
street, Atlanta, had a fine entry of fif
teen Single Comb Rhode Island Reds.
They captured the following prizes:
First hen and first cockerel. Their en
try consisted of four singles and two
pens.
William McPherson, of Athens, has
a fine lot of Barred Plymouth Rocks
entered. Mr. McPherson captured third
pen over a strong lot of competition.
H. H. Murray, Newnan, out of three
entries on Barred Plymouth Rocks cap
tured first cockerel. This bird is a fine
specimen and has attracted a lot of at
tention at the show.
A. G. Wilson, of Lithonia, who is a
breeder of Wyandottes, was In the city
yesterday attending tire show.

Beallwoo 1 Poultry Earns, of Colum
bus, had a grand display of Single
Comb White Leghorns. Their bltds
captured first cock, second, third and
fourth pullet, third pen. One of their
pens which is on exhibition won fifth
place in the national egg-laying con
test recently held at Mountain Grove,
Mo., under the supervision of the state.
There were 131 pens entered from most
every state in the Union and from Can
ada. This pen has attracted very much
attention at this show.
W. G. Turpin, of Americus, is in tiie
city a couple of days this week visiting
the show. Mr. Turpin is an expert
breeder of White Orpingtons. His en
try at this show consists of one pen
and a few single entries.
O. L. Chandler Newnan lias an
entry of eight birds In White Orping
tons. Mr, Chandler is a very enthusi
astic breeder, and is here all'thls week
attending the show.
Mrs. Wister A. Sharp, of Decatur,
had a swell entry of eighteen White
Rocks. Her birds won first cockerel,
third and fourth hens, third cock and
fourth pen. The birds shown by Mrs.
Sharp were raised and are owned by
her. She Is one of the most enthusi
astic women breeders in this section
and is more than proud of her winnings
at this show in the White Rock class,
as it was a very strong one.
