stre-sed by former juries and consid
ered a patent recommendation, was
discussed in the report made to the
judge. It was recommended that the
city pass an ordinance Increasing police
regulation of these shops, so that the
ease with which stolen goods are dis
posed of be minimized.
The Jury was especially insistent that
former recommendations be given con
sideration by county officials and that
an effort be made to induce Fulton’s
representatives in the legislature to
urge bills that will enforce the impor
tant ones.
The November jury summarized the
recommendations of the year as fol
lows:
Many Reforms Urged.
Increased power for the recorder.
Provision for a bond approver.
An ordinance forbidding a saloon and
pool room In the same place.
A law allowing the destruction of
liquor seized as contraband.
A padded cell at the jail.
An ordinance prohibiting the sale of
malt liquor by a person convicted of the
violation of the prohibition law.
Better conditions in the children’s
court.
A county home for incorrigible girls
and women.
