This was the last day of school for two weeks. The report was circulated at the Da vis Street school that in future tie r wouldn't be any last day. GA. Dec. 20.—Lowndes’ county’s new MO.OOO jail was formally a- '-epted gnd the county prisoners moved Into it today. The prison is a thoroughly 1 modem structure, with accommodations 1 for about eighty prisoners, and is practi- ' cally non-brpakable. Severe tests were t made with hardened saws on the steel f bars forming the cells. Deputy Sheriff Parrish secured a hand full of finely tempered hack-saws and was given full license by the contractors ami architect to saw any of the bars.
