BLUE PLUMES TO
BURGLAR'S FANCY
Millinery Store Ransacked and
Large Quantity of Costly
Feathers Stolen.
The millinery store of Mrs. F. M.
Buchanan, at 342 Edgewood avenue,
was burglarized shortly after midnight
this morning, and several hundred dol
lars worth of fine French plumes and a
set of furs valued at $“.30 were taken.

Davis, the aged Confederate veteran
Who on Monday, December 9, shot and
killed his son, Hewlett Davis, has ob
tained his liberty, making the SIO,OOO
bond set by Judge A. W. Fite.
In the habeas corpus proceedings held
before Judge Fite at Cartersville,
Judge Glenn, representing Davis,
told of the old man’s broken health,
and succeeded In getting him admitted'
to bail, the amount being placed at
SIO,OOO. None of the relatives fought
the effort to gain his freedom.
This means that there will be no ex
tra session of the grand jury in Jan
uary, the investigation going over to
the regular session in, April.
