It was recommended that the city pass an ordinance increasing police regulation of these shops, so that the ease with which stolen goods are dis posed of be minimized. The jury was especially insistent that former recommendations be given con sideration by county officials and that an effort be made to induce Fulton's representatives in the legislature to urge bills that will enforce the impor tant ones. The November jury summarized the recommendations of the year as fol lows: Many Reforms Urged. Increased power for the recorder. Provision for a bond approver. An ordinance forbidding a saloon and pool room “in the same place. A law allowing the destruction of liquor seized as contraband. A padded cell at the jail. An ordinance prohibiting the sale-of malt liquor by a person convicted of the violation of the prohibition law. Better conditions in the children's court. A county home for incorrigible girls and women. CHE ATLANTA GEORGIAN AND NEWS.FRIDAY, DECEMBER 20, 1912. PRISONERS PICK LOCKS AND ESCAPE FROM JAIL MADISON. GA., Dec. 20.—Two white prisoners. Hall and Benton, each charged with a felony, have escaped from the Morgan county jail, and today are at large. When they were missed by Sheriff R. B Aycock, a search of the jail re vealed a small piece of steel with which the inner cell door lock had been picked, and also a roughly shaped skeleton Key to the outer jail door, which was made either by the prisoners or by some one on the outside for them. Both of these men had been incarcer ated for several months, unable to give bond, and would have remained in jail until next March. No clew to their whereabouts has been discovered by the officers. FIVE GEORGIANS GET PATENTS. WASHINGTON. Dec. 20.—Davis & Da vis, Washington patent attorneys, re port the grant this week to citizens of Georgia of the following patents: G. F.
