are at present on an extended visit
to Texas and will spend several days

will be spent by Captain and Mrs.
Charles Coane Allen, formerly of
Atlanta, at their far-away new
home at Feri Seward, Haines,
Maska.
Eggnog Parties on
Calendar for
Christmas
Day
CHRISTMAS day will be ob
served by Atlanta's social
world with numerous "egg
nog parties,” which are merely in
formal morning or afternoon "at
homes,” where the chief refresh
ment served is the golden drink
typical of a Southern Christmas.
D . and Mrs. Floyd Mcßae will
give an eggnog party at 12 o’clock
on Christmas morning. Mr. and
Mrs. W. A. Speer have issued invi
tations to a large eggnog party
from 11:30 to 2 o'clock. This is an
annual custom with this hospitable
couple, and they will be assisted in
entertaining by a lovely group of
this year’s debutantes and the
"one-year-old buds.”
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Collier enter
tain at 5 o'clock, at their Ansley
Park residence. Mr. and Mrs
Scott Hudson will have an evening
eggnog party at. their Eaet Lake
home. Mrs. John Clark and Mrs.
A. D. Adair, Jr., will entertain thei’
friends at 12 o'clock, their eggnog
party having been a Christmas
pleasure for their friends, a num
ber of years in succession. Mr. and
Mrs. Ben Tye are among the
younger couples who will welcome
their friends with a Christmas dav
eggnog party. Mr. and Mrs
Robert L. Foreman will entertain
at a Christmas party, and Miss
Katherine M'ootten will entertain
on the afternoon of Christmas day
with an eggnog party.
In addition to the numerous "at
homes,” the clubs will keep open
house and '. 111 serve eggnog and
other holiday refreshments.
Many Social Affairs.
The calendar for next week is
! full of social affairs. The brilliant
Cotillion club entertainment will be
Monday night’s chief event. Al’
the members of this exclusive so
cial organization will attend the
Atlanta theater and will have seats
together on the front rows of the
playhouse. The beautiful toilets of
the women and their exquisite flow
i ere will make the audience a bril
liant one. After the show the cotil
lion will be danced at the Driving
club, Mr. Thomas B. Paine to lead

Numerous holiday parties for the
younger contingent are on for the
week, even evening being filled
with a dance, and many morning
and afternoon parties adding to the
week’s quota of holiday parties.
A number of interesting holiday
visitors will be here. Mr. and Mrs
Cha. les A. Dana, of New York, will
visit Mr. C. T. Ladson and Ml«s
