The new opera in English, "Cy
rano," was heard by a large assem
blage last night, the boxes and the
dress clrole being tilled with beau-
tifully-costumed women and their os-
,, r ts. After the performance, the
Capital City Club was the scene of
many informal supper parties. The
bib dining room was decorated with
pink and white carnations and palms,
with flags draped on the walls. |
A feature of the evening which gave
pleasure to the two hundred assem
bled guests was the singing of Mr.
Ricardo Martin, who gave several
old-fashioned Southern melodies—
