The new opera in English, “Cy
rano," was heard by a large assem
blage last night, the boxes and the
dress circle being filled with beau-
tuib -costumed women and their es
corts. After the performance, the
Capital City Club was the scene of
•nany Informal supper parties. The
, l il. dining room was decorated with
Ink and white carnations and palms,
with flags draped on the walls.
A feature of the evening which gave
pleasure to the two hundred assem-
led guests was the singing of Mr.
Riccardo Martin, who gave several
