THE ATLANTA GEORGIAN AND XKIVS. THURSDAY. MAY 1. 101: 15 f m ' I 4 v AFRICAN DIVERSION Doctors Guiteras and Seaman Discovered the Natives Doing “Trots” in Jungles. ! Mormon Admits He Lives With 2 Wives You Want Something, You Will Find It if You Read “ Want Ads Salt Lake City Juror Adds That He Hae Seven Children in Each Home. NEW YORK. May 1— Dr. Ramon Guiteras. and Dr. and Mrs. L. L. Sea man Rave yesterday a most inter esting: "causerle,” illustrated by lan tern slides, on their recently accom plished trip through Africa. covering h great part of the territory througn which Colonel Roosevelt traveled. Dr. Guiteras, in his inimitable man ner, told many interesting Hories of the life, manners and morals of the Central African native. A picture which excited much admiration and hilarity was described as "The D«n- sant Tango in Central Africa." Dr. Seaman, who. according to Dr. Guiteras, is an expert on many na tional dances, said: "There exists in New York the very mistaken idea that the Tango originated in South America. That is not so. The Tango was first danced bv .arious tribes' in Africa, and the photographs we are showing here give you a pretty good idea of that dance. "Of course, there are many varia tions. and one of them is called the Kissing Tango, which I am assured is a highly amusing and pleasant pas time. No doubt it will ultimately find its way into America." SALT LAKE CITY, May 1.—"1 am living In polygamy, and have been doing so right along. I have tw< wives and seven children in each I home.” • } This was the startling admission of] John T. Thorpe, a Mormon, aged fifty- I five, when he was being questioned here as a prospective juror in a mur- I der trial. Thorpe declared that he did not know there was a law against this practice.
