Ewing, of the Smith & Ewing Real Estate Agency, a 50 by 150-foot lot on the west side of Penn sylvania Avenue, between Ponce De Leon Avenue and East Fourth Street, for $3,000. and Mrs. Annie Garrett Ox ford has bought from the same com pany and through the same agency a lot of the same location, size and price. * East Side Street Work. After a considerable wait, paving work has started on Morgan Street, East Lake, and on Candler Street. De catur, and citizens in those neighbor hoods are rejoicing. The people most interested are hoping eventually to connect Decatur with Atlanta by means of well paved thoroughfares, and to provide a distinct loop which shall traverse both north and south sides* of the railroad. The paving on the thoroughfares named is macadam Sale on Glennwood Avenue. Deeds have gone to record in the sale April 23 of 379 Glennwood Ave nue, near Waldo Street. 32 1-2 by 103 feet, to Raymond Martin. The seller was Harris G. White. The property has been transferred to Mrs. Mary C. Love. No Plans for Parrott Lot. Asked this morning if he had per fected plans for erecting his projected ten-ritory apartment hotel at the northwest corner of Peachtree and Seventh Streets. George W. Parrott declared that he had not. Mr. Parrott has been figuring on a building on the Powers lot. but he has abandoned the project for the time being. Demand for Small Houses. There is always a good demand in Atlanta for small houses, thinks S. W. Sullivan, he well-known real estate man and builder. Mr. Sullivan ap plied to-day to Building Inspector Ed R. Hays for permits to build four one- story houses at 429. 433. 437, 441 Bed ford Place, at a total cost of $12,000. Mr. Sullivan w ill build these for him self and he will erect for T.
