Peters Land Sold.
Mrs. Nell Hagan Pierson has bought
from the Peters Land Company,
through J. H. Ewing, of the Smith &
Ewing Real Estate Agency, a 50 by
150-foot lot on the west side of Penn
sylvania Avenue, between Ponce De
Leon Avenue and East Fourth Street,
for $3,000, and Mrs. Annie Garrett Ox
ford has bought from the same com
pany and through the same agency a

East Side Street Work.
After a considerable wait, paving
work has started on Morgan Street,
East Lake, and on Candler Street, De
catur, and citizens in those neighbor
hoods are rejoicing. The people most
interested are hoping eventually to
connect Decatur with Atlanta by
means of well paved thoroughfares,
and to provide a distinct loop which
shall traverse both north and south
side* of the railroad. The paving on
the thoroughfares named is macadam.
Sale on Glennwood Avenue.
. Deeds have gone to record in the
sale April 23 of 379 Glennwood Ave
nue, near Waldo Street, 32 1-2 by 103

No Plans for Parrott Lot.
Asked this morning if he had per
fected plans for erecting his projected
ten-story apartment hotel at the
northwest corner of Peachtree and
Seventh Streets, George W. Parrott
declared that he had not. Mr. Parrott
has been figuring on a building on the
Powers lot, but he has abandoned the
project for the time being.
Demand for Small Houses.
There is always a good demand in
Atlanta for small houses, thinks S. W.
Sullivan, the well-known real estate
man and builder. Mr. Sullivan ap
plied to-day to Building Inspector Ed
R. Hays for permits to build four one-
story houses at 429, 433, 437, 441 Bed
ford Place, at a total cost of $12,000.
Mr. Sullivan will build these for him
self and he will erect for T. M. Wil
lingham at 158, 160 Glennwood Avenue
a two-story store «and dwelling.
