Interest in !tk*al real estate circles centered largely to-day around pub lic sales before the court house door. A large crowd altended and the bidding was lively. The Brookhaven riub property was sold to perfect a title in the Brookhaven estates; two lots on Decatur Street of the Joseph L. Brown estate were sold; certain properties of Moise DeLeon on South Forsyth and Whitehall Streets changed hands; seventeen lots on West Fourteenth and State Streets went to bidders, and a well-known real estate man bought a Carnegie Way lot of the Dago mar si no estate. The Brookhaven estates, holders of $80,000 worth of bonds in the Brook haven Club on Peachtree Road, bought in the Brookhaven property for $90,000—$88,000 for the land and building and $2,000 for the furnish ings. Charles P. Glover, president of the Brookhaven estates, and Ivan E. Allen, vice president, represented the corporation. The sale was made in order to clear the way for a con templated sale to the Capital City Club for $110,000. There are $80,000 worth of improvements on the prop erty, the road frontage is some 9,000 feet and there are about 160 acres estimated at approximately $500 an acre. A. J. and H. F. West sold 35 and 37 Decatur Street, 50 by 100 feet, for Governor 'Joseph M* Brown to J. ,T. Haverty and A. G. Rhodes for $70,000, and the following lots on West Four-\ teenth and State Streets, in the W. B.' B. Richards estate, for a total of about $12,000. Lot No. 1 to Thomas Francis for $1,075, lot No. 2 to Thomas Francis for $972, lot No. 3 to Mrs. Romie C. Abbott for $877.50, lot No. 4 to Mrs. Romie C. Abbott for $931.50, lot No. 5 to Mrs. Romie C. Abbott for $1,012.50, lot No. 21 to A. E. Peavy for $775, lot No. 20 to A. E. Peavy for $800, lot No. 19 to .T» W. Walton for $700, lot No. 18 to Miss Eva Richards for $550, lot No. 17 to Miss Eva Rich ards for $387.50, lot No. 16 to Miss Eva Richards for $312.50, lot No. 22 to C. A. Walters for $312.50. Courtland S. Winn and O. F. Owen, executors of the late D. P. Thomas, sold the following: A 54 by 203-foot lot on South For syth Street, between Garnett and Brotherton Streets, to J. H. McCord at the rate of $265 a front foot, or $14,310; two lots, with small houses, on Hightower Street, 80 feet front, to J. H. Ewing for $1,350, and to W. A. Hennington, 739 Chestnut Street, 50 by 127, for $685 cash. Dot 2 of the Conn & Fitzpatrick property on Habersham Road, near Paces Ferry Road, was sold for the estate of Holmes Frederick to Jerome Moore, attorney for a client, for $20 a front foot, or $4,700. The frontage is .235 feet. Steve R. Johnston sold for an out- of-town client representing the es tate of Sarah Story, a lot on'the Mc Donough Road for $705, Charles E. Thompson being the buyer. Auctioneer J. W. Ferguson and S. B. Turman sold a $5,000 equity in the Guthman property on Whitehall Street, between West Fair and Broth erton Streets, to Dr. W. J. Blalock for $1,500, making the price $31,500. This lot was formerly held by Moise DeEeon under bond for title. It fronts 107.5 feet on Whitehall and 52.33 on Forsyth. E. M. Mitchell bought for Joseph Iioewus a one-third interest in the, equity of the other DeDeon parcel at the northwest corner of South Forsyth and Castleberry Streets for $1,950. This lot is 76.6 feet on Forsyth and 70 on Castleber ry. .. There were several other small Bell Apartments Resold. The Charles P. Glover Realty Com pany sold to-day for the Corinthian Company fo the Realty Mortgage Company the Bell apartments at the ‘ southwest corner of Ponce DeDeon Avenue and North Boulevard for $6.>,- 000. This property has changed hands several times of late. Brookhaven Transfer To-day? A report this afternoon had it that at a final conference the Capital City Club property committee would close up the deal for the Brookhaven Club, a proposition having been submitted some time ago by the Brookhaven Estates. The site is wanted by the Capital City for a country club. The Brookhaven property was sold this morning so that the title might be clearly in the Brookhaven Estates. Progress of Peachtree Work. The county convicts have practical ly finished digging up the old asphalt on the right-hand side of Peachtree and will start at once on the opposite side of the thoroughfare, going south. Thev were working north of Four teenth Street this morning. A sep arate gang is following close behind with rock, binder, etc., and the street will soon be good for traffic between Sixth and Fifteenth Streets. Healey Building Delayed. Two monster djerricks, intended :o lift 9teel girders into "lace on the Healev Building site, have not yet come from the manufacturers, and the work has been held up now some two weeks. The daily loss to Mr. Healey is considerable, since the job has not been pushed following the completion of foundation work. Enough steel is already on hand, but the derricks have upset calculations.
