Special Cable to The Atlanta Georgian.
PARIS. May 9.—King Alfonso's
state visit to France came to a close
to-day with a remarkable aerial ex
hibition at the St Cyr Aerodome As
’ the Spanish King and his official
s ‘, boats looked on one aeroplane after
another ascended until the sky seem
ed filled with them. Alfonso said it
waa on© of the most inspiring sights
t he had ever seen.
One of the most interesting fea
tures of the Spanish monarch’s visit
•••has been his extreme democratic be
havior. At Fontainebleau a gorgeous
stand decorated with the royal colors
of Spain had been erected In which
Alfonso was to have sat while the
troops were reviewed. The chair in
which the King was to have sat was
of bronze.
— An Astonished Ministry.^
President Poincare and the French
Ministers, aU solemn, obsequious and
in dreas suits, drew to one side to
allow A|fonao to enter the pavilion.
Instead of doing so. the King ran
down to the railing, placed his hands
upon it and vaulted over the rail like
_ an athlete. Then he sat down on the
grass and glued a pair of field glasses
to his eyes while the Cabinet Minis
ters looked on in astonishment
They never had seen a King act
that way before
Shakes Hands With Aviators.
After the aviation meet Alfonso in
sisted on shaking hands with several
aviators and mechanicians. Hfs white
gloves were black with oil and grease
when be,got through.
The French press believes ,tlmt the
visit has ben of great benefit to both
France and Spain
Before his departure for St. Cyr.
Alfonso .held a conference with For
eign Minister Piehon at which the
question of Spain entering the triple
entente with France. Russia and
England was discussed It would
then become the quadruple entente.

Vice President, Piqued, “Wishes
to Hear Nothing More on Mis
represented Utterances.”
V\ ASHINGTON, May 9.—In answer
to Colonel George Harvey's charge,
made at a dinner in New York of
representatives from the trust compa
nies of America, to the effect that
Vice President Marshall's criticism of
the wealthy acted as an “incitement
to the predatory poor,” the Vice Pres
ident said to-day:
“If anybody will produce a public
utterance of mine for the curtailment
of accumulation or distribution of
honest wealth, except by a fair in
heritance tax, I will go to Wall Street
and personally apologize.
“In the course of a long profession
al career, however. I have asserted
that the witness who had knowledge
of fraud Invariably got mad when ne
was interrogated as to the fraud."
The Vice President at first was in
clined to take the matter as a joke.
He said, however, that he wished to
have the affair closed and to hear
nothing more on the score of his mis
represented public utterances.

Effective Horae Remedy
For Lung Trouble
It is a serious matter when the
lungs are affected. A trip away or
to a sanatorium is not only expen
sive. but it involves separation from
home and friends. Some are bene
fited, but few can safely return.
Eckman’s Alterative is effective for
home treatment. For example:
231 S. Atlantic Ave., Haddonfield.i
N. J.
"Gentlemen: In the fall of 1005 I
contracted a very severe cold, which
settled on my lungs. At last 1 began
to raise sputum, and my physician
then told me I must go to California
immediately. At this time I was ad
vised to take Eckman’s Alterative. I
stayed at home and commenced tak
ing it the last week in October. I
began to improve, and the first week
in January, 1906, I resumed my regu
lar occupation, having gained 25
pounds, fully restored to health. It is
now seven years since my recovery
has been effected, amU I can not
praise Eckman’s Alterative too high
ly I have recommended it with ex
cellent results."
(Signed) W. M. TATEM.
(Above abbreviated; more on re
quest.)
Eckman s Alterative has been
proven by many years' test to be
most efficacious in cases of severe

Mixed With Sulphur Makes
Hair Soft, Lustrous and
Cures Dandruff,
The use of Sage and Sulphur for
restoring faded, gray hair to Its
natural color dates back to grand
mother's time. She kept her hair
beautifully darkened, glossy an
abundant with a brew of Sage Tea
and Sulphur, Whenever Iter hair
fell out or took on that dull, faded
or streaked appearance this simple
mixture was applied with wonderful
effect.
But brewing at home is mussy
and out-of-date. Nowadays skilled
chemists do this better than our
selves. By asking at any drug store
for the ready-to-use product - called
“Wyeth’s Sage and Sulphur Hair
Remedy"—you will get a large bot
tle for about 50 cents. Some drug
gists make their own, which is usu
ally too sticky, so insist upor\ get
ting “Wyeth’s,” which can be de
pended upon to restore natural cqI-
or and beauty to the hair, and is
splendid for dandruff, dry, feverish,
Itchy scalp and falling hair.
A well-known downtown druggist
says Ills customers insist on Wy
eth’s Sage and Sulphur because,
they say. it darkens so naturally
and evenly that nobody can tell it
has been applied—it’s so easy to
use, too. You simply dampen a.
sponge or soft brush and draw it
through your hair, taking one
strand at a time. Do this at night
and by morning the gray hair dis
appears; after another application
or two It is restored to its natural
color and looks glossy, soft and
abundant. Elkin Drug Uo., special
