The fifth annual commencement ex
ercises of Miss Wood berry's School
will be a feature In educational cir
cles this week. The program will be
gin Friday with a recital. It will
conclude the following Monday with
the graduation of one of the largest
classes in the history of the institu
tion.
There will be a lawn fete and musi
cal complimentary to th*• alumnae
Sunday. The commencement sermon
will be preached by the Rev. Dr. C. T.
A. Pise. Following class day exer
cises at noon Monday on the lawn,
there will come the delivery of diplo
mas at 8 o’clock in the evening.
The valedictory address will be
made by Miss Amelia Carney Malone;
Miss Elliott Beattie Johnson will ren

diction will be said by the Right Rev.

nearly all the countries of the world
to attend the thirty-eighth session of
the general conference of the Sev
ern h Day Adventists, which will be
held in a city of tents here.

served and there wiU be no coffetf
or tea there, nor c ondiments such • as
vinegar, mustard, catsup or pepper.

on 1 pint boiling water and 1 pint scalded milk, when .

Mayor Threatens to Revoke Fran

CINCINNATI, May 12. Completely
crippled and paralysed by the strike
of its motormen and conductors, no
attempt was made to-day by the Cin
cinnati Traction Company to operate
a single car. The company is pre
paring to break the strike wUtj im
ported men.
Mayor Hunt is still waiting for his
reply to the letter sent to W. Kesley
Schoepf, president of the company,
demanding that the company arbi
trate *the differences with the men.
If the company does not answer by 6
o'clock this afternoon, the Mayor will
begin court proceedings to annul the
franchise.
