Important in to-day’s real estate news was the announcement that $22,- 180 in business lots had been sold at Buckhead and that improvements in volving approximately $50,000 would be made in the near future. John G. Burkhardt has bought, through the George P. Moore Real Es- ) tate Agency, from the L. S. Huntley Company the narrow point at the in tersection of the Peachtree and Ros well Roads, for $12,500, and will be gin immediately the erection of a sub stantial two-story brick business building. The lot is 152 feet on Peach tree and the same frontage on Ros- t well, and the front foot price was ac cordingly a little more than $82, fig ured by either single frontage. J. L. Riley has bought three lots to the north of the above triangle, an ag gregate of 78 feet on Peachtree and 75 on Roswell, for $5,050, and will erect a store and garage. Figured by the Peachtree frontage, this piece brought a little less than $65 a front*fooL The next two lots to the north were bought by the Fulton Finance Com pany as an Investment, for a tota’ of $3,380, or at the rate of $65 a front foot. These have a combined front age of 52 feet on Peachtree and 50 feet on Roswell, with 143 feet through from road to road. D. H. Lopez bought a triangular strip of 38 feet on Peachtree and 87 feet back for $1,250. He also bought for speculation. All of the above parcels were in the Huntley subdivision and were sold by the Moore Agency from a total of 14 lots, several remaining unsold. The contemplated improvements are ex pected to mean much to Buckhead. since this point serves people travel ing to and from five counties. Property Nets $20,950. The house is of two stories and is unique in that it con tains only two rooms. The upper room and porches are used for sleep ing purposes, and the downstairs room is the reception room, parlor, li brary and ball room all in one. Wide f porches extend entirely around the house. The lot is 400 by 1,300 feet and cost approximately $21,000, or $53 a front foot. Rushing Peachtree Work.
