NO. 9509.—A PRETTY AND BECOMING
J WAIST.
T HIS charming creation will make a
very drcaay waist for evening wear,
and may also be developed for gen
eral home or afternoon use. The waist
is cut with a bib shaped panel that out
lines a deep yoke formed by the tucker.
This could be made of lace, together
with the sleeve, if these are preferred
long. For shorter sleeve frills of lace
would form a pretty finish.
The revers and deep collar are effective
ptyle features of this design.
The pattern is cut in five sizes—34, 36,
38, 40 and 42 inches bust measure. It re
quires 2tv yards of 36 inch material for a
36-inch size for the waist, with 1% yard
of 27-inch material for the tucker.
NO. 9491.—A STYLISH SKIRT MODEL.
This attractive design is suitable for
silk, velvet, corduroy, broadcloth, serge
or voile. As here shown blue serge was
employed, with stitching and fancy but
tons for trimming.
The front is slightly draped below the
knee height, and the back has the new
eouble box plaited panel effect.
The pattern is cut in five sizes—22, 24.
26, 28 and 30 Inches waist measure. It re
quires 3ti yards of 44-inch material for a
24-inch size.
NO. 9499—GIRL’S EMPIRE DRESS.
Empire effects aifcarery pretty for tiny
girls and lend themselves readily* to soft
materials. The design here shown is made
with a kimono waist, and has the front
stitched in panel effect.
White linen embroidered in blue or pink
would be very charming, or baby blue
mull, with lace or feather stitching for a
finish.
The pattern is cut in four sizes—2, 4,
6 and 8 years. It requires 3 yards of 44-
lnch material for an 8-year size.
NO. 9392.—LADY’S APRON
This neat and comfortable model may
be made of gingham, percale, lawn or cam
bric. The bretelle portions extend below
the belt, (omiiug spacious pockets over
tbe skirt
The pattern is cut in three sizes—small,
medium and large. It requires 5*» yards
of 27-Inch material for the medium size.
NO 9595—GIRL’S RUSSIAN SUIT WITH
UNDERWAIST.
Russian effects are very popular this
season. The model here shown is suit
able for wash materials, such as linen,
linene, galatea. gingham, chambrey. also
for silk, voile, panama, eponge. ratine, or
serge.
The pattern is cut in four sizes—8, 10,
12 and 14 years It requires 5 yards of
36-inch material for a 14-year size.
NO 9601—LADY’S DRESS, WITH LONG
OR SHORTER SLEEVE
Natural tan pongee, embroidered in self
color, was used for this design It is also
appropriate for linen, linene, ratine, cor
duroy, chambrey. percale, gingham or
silk.
The back is finished at one side with a
deep hem tuck, and is gathered at the
waist line.
The waist may be finished with a long
plain close-fitting sleeve or one in shorter
length with a deep cuff.
The pattern is cut in five sizes—34, 36,
38, 40 and 42 inches bust measure. It re
quires Sti yards of 44-inch material for a
36-inch size
NO. 9605—COSTUME FOR MISSES AND
SMALL WOMEN.
This charming model was developed in
blue ratine, with loops and buttons for
trimming. The sleeve may be in long or
shorter length.
The neck is cut low. and is finished
with a smart broad collar. The waist and
skirt close at the side front. The skirt is
made with a simulated tunic, lengthened
by a straight flounce
The pattern is cut in five sizes—14, 15,
16, 17, and 18 years. It requires 6Vk yards
of 36-inch material for a 16-year size.
