An expected move in changing the name of the Equitable Building has been made. Hereafter this structure will be known as the Trust Company of Georgia Building, after the concern which owns it. Workmen are busy chiseling out the name, “Equitable Building,” over the entrance on the Edgewood Avenue side, and will sub stitute the new designation. The Equitable was the first office building of size in Atlanta. It was built through a loan made to Joel Hurt and others by the Equitable Life Insurance Company, and from that company got its name. So wap the present Grant Building known as the Prudential until a certain stage in its financial career, when Its name was likewise changed. E. M. Fischer Buye Colonial. E. M.
