Announcement was made In real es tate circles Friday of the sale of a house and lot on Bedford Platte and of the transfer of two parcels on Mitch ell Street and a Washington Street house and lot. An expected move in changing the name of the Equitable Building has been made. Hereafter this structure will be known as the Trust Company of Georgia Building, after the concern which owns it. Workmen are busy’ chiseling out the name, “Equitable Building," over the entrance on the Edgewood Avenue side, and will sub stitute the new designation. The Equitable was the first office building of size in Atlanta. It was built through a loan made to Joel Hurt and others by the Equitable Life Insurance Company, and from that company got its name. So was the present Grant Building known as the Prudential until a certain stage in its financial career, when its name was likewise changed. E. M. Fischer Buys Colonial. E. M. Fischer was the lucky bidder at Ralph O. Cochran’s auction Thurs day afternoon of W. C. Harper’s colo nial house at 101 West Tenth Street The price paid was $10,125.
