Street and several small sales of stores
and lots, aggregating $10,435, were

Mrs. Peter F. Smith hay bought
from Henry A. Coles, through Charles
E. DuPree. of the W. L. A John <>
DuPree real estate agency. 286 Myrtle

for $9,500. This is a two-story, ten
room house on a lot 55 by 195 feet to
an alley Five thousand was cash,
which was nearly 50 per cent of the
purchase price. Mrs. Smith now re
sides in the Smith mansion at the
southeast corner of Forrest Avenue
and Courtland Street, but she will
soon occupy the other house.

The North Side Realty Company is
the name of a new corporation which
Is being formed to develop private
real estate properties. The petition

Decatur’s Home-Coming Day.
Officials of the Decatur Board of
Trade reported Monday a flood of ap
plications for tickets to the banquet
which will be held Tuesday night at
the DeKalb County court house. Other
committees also report a great deal
of interest in the “home-coming day"
of the DeKalb citizens. Appropriate
exercises will precede the banquet as
previously announced.
Warrt Space in Skyscraper.
William T. Healey, builder of the
Healey Building, reported Monday
that diagrams showing office space
in his structure would be out in a
few days, and that already nearly
100 Arms of various kinds had made
inquiry. The same is true of the
Hurt Building, one entire floor of
which has been leased.
The Healey sleel has gone above
the first floor, and riveting will prob
ably be started Wednesday.
Auction Sales Tuesday.
Although the number of important
parcels to be sold before the court
house door Tuesday morning Is small
er than usual, a large and representa
tive crowd is expected to attend. Auc
tion sales are welcomed by real e«*tate
men to break the monotony of con
tinual trading in the offices, as well as
furnishing an occasional “line'' on
what Is going on in certain private
estates.

Forsyth Street Lease.
Barnard Brothers & Spindler. one of
the largest type foundry and printers'
supply houses in the United States,
have leased from Captain James \V„
English 20 South Forsyth Street, the
place formerly occupied bv the Uncle
Remus's Magazine. This concern has
chosen Atlanta as headquarters for
this section and has bought out the
Dodson Printers' Supply Company.
Extensive alterations on the new
plant have been made
New United Cigar Store.
The United Cigar Stores Company
has taken another choice downtown
corner. Monteflore Selig has leased
for S. Samuels to this concern a cor
ner of Mitchell and South Forsyth
Streets for a consideration which is
withheld. Among other corners of the
United are the southeast corner of
Peachtree and Auburn Avenue, the
southeast of Peachtree and Decatur
Streets and the southeast of Marietta
and North Forsyth Streets.
Ellis Street Building.
Work ha«' been started on the new
concrete building on the south side of
Ellis Street, between Courtland Street
and Piedmont Avenue, which has been
leased to the Jessup & Antrim Ice
Cream Company by G T. R. Fraser
for ten years The building will be
40 by 100 feet. The company will
move from Its present location on
Forrest Avenue.
Among other improvements in this
growing neighborhood ar» the Elks'
