Marietta Street Lease. Reports of big sales in realty cir cles have taken the place largely of news of the medium-sized transac tions. and are proving infinitely mo r e interesting. An investor, for Instance, has bought an $80,000 parcel that he will hold for enhancement, and an owner has refused more than half a million on a downtown comer. An other dealer, it is reported, has sold a handsome dwelling on a North Side street between the Peachtrees, and j has refused a flattering offer on cen- i tral property wanted by a syndicate j for Improvement with a substantial | building. The building contains about 20,000 square feet of floor space. Meeting on Realty Loans. A subcommittee of the State Leg islature has taken hold of the bill to repeal the bill of 1910, which pro hibits loans of State and municipal funds on real estate. Committees of the Atlanta Real Estate Board ap peared at the Capitol Tuesday after noon to present arguments in favor of the repeal, and they received a warm reception. Certain bond dealers who are inter ested in having the bill remain as en acted also appeared. Speaking of their argument. Harris White, presi dent of the Atlanta Real Estate Board, declared it was “weak." Concrete Buildings Planned. Two concrete buildings will soon be erected by the syndicate interested in the Walker street development. These structures will face on Walker street, where the new Southern Railway tracks will pass, and will he used fo»* whole sale and manufacturing purposes. More than twenty applications for space have been received by the projectors. Among those in the syndicate are W. S Mc- Kemie, Tom Stocks, W. J. Blalock and Ernest Duncan. Judge Dori A Pardee recently ap proved a connection between the At lanta.
