day. There were several interesting
sales, cancellation of a big loan deed,
announcement of a new residence in
the Pace’s Ferry road, deeds to re
cord in a large land deal and several
loan deeds of consequence.
Big Supplemental Mortgage.
The Georgia Railway and Electric
Company has given the American
Trust Company, of Massachusetts, a
supplemental mortgage on all Its
lines, conduits, ducts, poles and cer
tain tracts of land on Simpson street,
Decatur street and College avenue,
Decatur, acquired or constructed
since the execution of a principal in
denture on January 1, 1909. The prin
cipal indenture was to secure an is
sue of $20,000,000 improvement mort
gage sinking fund gold bonds.
Record of Previous Sale.
Papers have gone to record in the
sale by J. F. Leary, of Alabama, to
the Phoenix Planing Mill of a Samp
son street property, 100 feet south of
Highland avenue, and three parcels
on Highland avenue, near the above,

Disposal Plant Completed.
News that the city’s sewage dis
posal plant on Peachtree Creek Is
soon to be completed has aroueed a
good deal of interest in realty and
construction circles. For several years
Peachtree Creek has been a problem
to property owners near it, but now
that sanitary measures are being
taken, owners look for steady en
hancement. R. M. Sullivan took the
contract for the plant after Chester
A. Dadv gave it up. The structure
will cost $160,000, and will be ready
for use about September 20.
