One of the largest diamonds ever found is the Koh-i-noor and is owned by the royal family of England. Originally it is said to have weighed 794 carats, but it was reduced to its present size of 102 3-4 carats by repeated cutting. According to legend, it was found in England long before the Christian era, and, after having been, handed down through y long line of Indian Princes, it was seized during the British invasion of the Punjab and was taken to England.
