To Bid on Comfort Station. Local contractors are considering the preparation of estimates on the cost of erecting a public comfort sta tion at the Peters Building over the Whitehall street viaduct. L C. Green and others who have been working for the station think the structure can he built for about $8,000. It is the intention to start work January 1, 1914. The local park board had in dorsed the project. Comment on Deposit Plan. Commenting on the suggestion of Robert F. Maddox at Washington that the Government money to be placed in Atlanta banks will not be used for speculative purposes, & lead ing real estate man said: “I know of no chance to use any of this money in speculative transac tions. This money is primarily for moving the crops, and when the crops are moved there will be plenty of money for the real estate market. There is no doubt about that, and the autumn business should be unusually good." Mr. Maddox has been conferring with other bankers and Secretary McAdoo on the plan to place $50,000,- 000 in Southern and Western banks. He is asking for $2,500,000 for At lanta banks. The vast agricultural sections, he points out, are easily ac cessible to Atlanta, and it is appro priate that Atlanta banks should handle the money. PROPERTY TRANSFERS.
