Talbotton T albotton, Aug. 16.—The most important social event of the week was the marriage of Miss Miriam Jones to Mr. Herbert Lin- wood Dickerson, of Cordele, Monday night. The wedding was at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Trussed. Rev. J. W. Arnold, pastor of the Methodist Church here, performed the ceremony. C. K. Mahone and Mrs. Dana Brown were the attendants. The wedding wa^a surprise Airs. Jennie Gray Draughon re turned to Reynolds Tuesday after a visit to Aliss Hattie Simpson. Afiss Hattie Taylor, of Fitzgerald, has been the guest of Miss Susie Leonard during the week.
