tios extended by Mrs. James H. Pres
ton, wife of the Mayor of Baltimore,
in compliment to her debutante
daughter, Miss Alice Wilks Preston;
a morning german yesterday by

Chesapeake and Ohio Railway, and a
german this afternoon in the Casino
with Mr. and Mrs. John W. Grant as

are being urged by the Woman’s Civic
League, and as a result members of
the league are preparing for an ac
tive winter season of work.

these will be planted in pretty flow
ers which will bloom through the
