Great Volume of Deeds on Record.
Grant Gets Apartment House.
Some Unique Transactions.
An unusually large number of war
ranty and loan deed** and bonds for
title went to record Tuesday, show
ing good business in the various lines
of real estate activity. There were
eighteen warranty deeds, nine bonds,
eleven loan deeds, and a number of
interesting cancellations. Transac
tions show much activity in residence
property and the smaller sized propo
sitions, which most realty men con
sider as steady as this time last year,
if not a hit better.
Real estate dealers are waiting anx
iously for the money of the Federal
Treasury Department to arrive in
Atlanta. The prospect for big crops
is also welcomed in realty circles.
Apartment House Listed.
The Livingstoh, three-story apart
ment house being erected at the
southwest corner of North avenue and
Willow street by James Livingston
Wright and Sam E. Smith, has been
placed with Albert S. Adams, of the
B M. Grant Real Estate and Renting
Agency, for renting This structure
contains 32 apartments of three and
four rooms, with such modern con
veniences as vacuum cleaners, tffe-
chanical refrigeration, dumb waiters,
etc. The site is the old Calhoun place.
Well-Known Men in Trade.
General Clifford L. Anderson has
sold to the Atlanta Hanking and Rav
ings Company an undivided one-half
interest in the southeast corner of
Boulevard and Cottingham avenue f->T
a consideration not made public. Gen
eral Anderson bought his half interest
for $5 cash and guve a $2,000 note
due March 30. 1911, at 8 per cent.
He bought from P. H. Mell.
Loan Deed Given.
The Berry School, of Rome, has
been in another Atlanta transaction.
It has taken from John W. Hu mer
a loan deed for $5,000 on the south
side of Auburn avenue, 162 feet west
of Piedmont avenue. The paper car
