Labor Day Monday closed all the banks and the City Hall, and there was a temporary cessation in general real estate trading. Fulton County’s convicts are un usually busy at this time on streets, roads and sewers. Shelby Smith, chairman of the Board of County Commissioners, reports that Simpson street paving was far west as the Louisville and Nashville Railroad, and the Jonesboro road paving will be completed this week. A lease con tract has been signed with the Nich ols Construction Company for a steam shovel for excavating © he McDan iel street sewer. The sewer will bo continued 2,000 feet from the pres ent outfall to the Atlanta and West Point Belt Line. The other county steam shovel is on the Butler street and Highland avenue sewer work. W. P.
