Labor Day Monday closed all the banks and the City Hall, and there was a temporary cessation in general real estate trading. The agents re port a bigger number of inquiries, however, than at any time during the past few months, and it is expected that the fall trade will be brisk. Much County Work. Fulton County’s convicts are un usually busy at this time on streets, roads and sewers. Shelby Smith, chairman of the Board of Couniy Commissioners, reports that Simpson street paving was far west as the Louisville and Nashville Railroad, and the Jonesboro road paving will be completed this week. A lease con tract has been signed with the Nich ols Construction Company for a steam shovel for excavating o ‘he McDan iel street sewer.
