Realty Trust Building
Tuesday as a legral sales day at the
county courthouse was unique In that
there were no sales. That is, nothing
had been offered up to 11 o’clock, at
which time most of the crowd filed
away. Several sale* had been adver
tised, notably a parcel on Edgewood
avenue, In the Quares estate, and two
parcels on Decatur street, between
Hilliard and Yonge streets. The
crowd was made up largely of law
yers and real estate men, and there
were few people interested in buying.
Steve R. Johnston, the well-known
auctioneer, was among those present.
“I think it is a good sign,” said he,
“that there are few sales at public
outcry. It shows that people don’t
have to sell and that the realty mar
ket Is good.”

Scarcity of Apartments.
People returning from summer re
sorts have found it difficult In many
cases to locate desirable apartments
and the result has been that the rent^
