Realty Trust Building
Tuesday as a legal sales day at the
county courthouse was unique In that
there were no sales. That Is, nothing
had been offered up to 11 o’clock, at
which time most of the crowd filed
away. Several sales had been advert
tlsed, notably a parcel on Edgewood
avenue, In the Quaros estate, and two
parcels on Decatur street, between
Hilliard and Tonge streets. The
crowd was made up largely of law
yers and real estate men, and there
were few people Interested In buying.
Steve R. Johnston, the well-knowh
auctioneer, was among those present.
"1 think it Is a good sign,” said he,
“that there are few sales at public
outcry. It shows that people don’t
have to sell and that the realty mar
ket Is good.”
Frank L. Fleming’s Apartment.
Ansley Park U soon to have Its secJ
ond apartment house, according to
plans Which Frank L. Fleming, the
well-known real estate dealer In the

local architect. This will be located
in the park’s most exclusive section,
opposite the palatial home of Frank
Ellis, on Peachtree circle, 300 feet east
of Peachtree, and will cost J20.000.
Work is expected to start next month,
and the apartment will be ready tot

two or three stories high, and will con
tain from twelve to eighteen apart
ments. The lot is elevated, faced
northeast, and is 100 by 240 feet. Only

Barbara E. Lambdin.

Largest Renting Agenoy.
The John J. Woodside Company
has been designated the "largest
agency in the United States making
a specialty of renting.” Lee, Comp
ton & Patterson, real estate dealers
of San Antonio, Texas, have written
Harris G. White, president of the At
lanta Real Estate Board, referring
to the Woodside Agency in these
terms, and asking for some pointers
on how to establish a renting agency.
The Woodside concern was the first
exclusive renting agency in Atlanta,
and the first to publish a weekly
rent bulletin.
Old Church House for Rent.
The old Grace Methodist Church, at
the junction of East Ellis and Hous
ton streets and .Boulevard, has been

Scarcity of Apartment*.
People returning from summer re
sorts have found it difficult in many
cases to locate desirable apartments
and the result has been that the rent
ing agents have had no trouble filling
up buildings in good neighborhoods.
™ early returners have had first
choice, and the late comers will have
to take what they can get. The same
is true of good houses.
Judge Ben H. Hill has moved to the
Georgian Terrace; Joseph Ralne has
taken an apartment at Juniper and
Third streets; Dr. E C. Cartledge has
leased an apartment in the Robert,
West Peachtree and Peachtree nlace^
Joseph Richardson has about coml
