expressed by the authorities to-day of
their ability to prove that in the ac

The State officials also continued
to dig into Mrs. Nichols' past life to

great confidence in her ability as a
financier, and who is now her accuser
All told she turned over to Mr*.

It is stated that Mrs. Nichols would
pay over to Mrs. Demassena certain
amounts at stated intervals, w-hicn
were supposed to represent the inter

This continued. It is certain, until
about six month# ago. when Mrs.

indictments by the Grand Jury a few
weeks ago charging Mrs. Nichols
with embezzlement In three cases.
The amount alleged in the Indict

The Indictment of Mrs. Nichols
created a distinct sensation on ac

social standing For several years
she lived in Wilmington, where her
relatives formerly resided, and was
recognized as a leader in exclusive
social circles of that city and sec

is a woman of charming personality
and was a great favorite In fashion
able circles in which she moved.

PIMPLES ON FACE
Would Itch and Burn, Caused Great
Disfigurement, Also Had Dan
druff on Scalp. Cuticura Soap
and Ointment Cured Perfectly.
R. F. D. No. 2. Box 46. Matthews, Ga.
"For three years or more I was troubled
with pimples and blackheads. At first my
face would itch and bum and then the
pimples would break out. They looked al
most as if I had measles, causing great dis
figurement. They would make my fa<*e vory
red and sore. Then they festered and came
to a head and large boils would come on
my chin and nose.
"I also had dandruff which caused my
scalp to itch and burn. It itched and burned
so that I had to scratch it until it was irri
tated. The dandruff scaled off and showed
plainly in my hair. It also caused my hair
to break off and become very thin. I used
several remedies which did not cure and
gave but little relief. After I received a free
sample of Cuticura Soap and Ointment I
began using them according to directions.
I secured two cakes of Cuticura Soap and
two boxes of Cuticura Ointment which
cured me perfectly." (Signed) Miss Willie
M. Walker, July 31, 1912.

Every Tooth is a “Pearl

Haven’t One to Lose
Our National
Weakness
Not so long since an em tnent surgeon startled the nation by
prescribing “teeth” to cure dyspepsia and indigestion. To
day it is the only recognized remedy.
A S long as there is a tooth missing—a loose
tooth—a hollow tooth in vour mouth, you
are not masticating your food properly. You
favor the sensitive weak part—you are bring
ing on chronic dyspepsia.
Indigestion, dyspepsia and malnutrition—
thinness, weakness and continual distress all
arise from bad teeth, from making the stomach
“chew" the food.
There’s no reason why you should let this
danger confront you.
Let me make your teeth sound and whole.
That will make your health the better. No mat
