Success of Structure to Determine Other Plans— Winecoff Lot To Be Idle Until Feb. 15. TO LET 69 LUCKIE STREET 34 ROOMS STEAM HEAT. CLOSE IN. For Particulars Apply T EDWIN P. ANSLE\ RENT DEPARTMENT First Floor Realty Trust Building. Ivy 1600 Atlanta 363. Atlanta is soon to have another apartment like the Ponce DeLeon, if plans which a party of out-of-town capitalists, acting with local repre sentatives, Anally materialize. It h i? been known for some time that such a project was under way. These finan ciers are waiting to see what sort of a success the Ponce DeLeon proves to be, and will act accordingly. The lo cation will probably be at or near the northern Junction of the Peachtree*, which has long been regarded as r. choice apartment house neighborhood. Assurances of the success of the Poncp DeLeon have been given in the announcement Thursday that ov r half of the total space has been taken, and that Indications point to a full apartment house by November 1. Albert S. Adams, of B. M. Grant & Co., has received dozens of Inquiries from local and out-of-town people who want suites. Many of the tenants have already moved In, and more are changing s their leases in other places expire. New Peachtree Front. .The J. K. Orr Shoe Company is preparing to change the front of the Red Seal Shoe Shop at No. 93 Peach tree street. Gude & Co. will do tha work The frontage »* about 12 feet, and the property belongs to Mrs. J. B. Whitehead, who recently bought it from the Realty Company through G. W. Alfrlend. Included In Mrs. White- head’s purchase was also No. 91 Peachtree, 21 feet, the entire cost be ing $176,000, or $'5,300 a front foot. No Plans for Lot. Hugh L. McKee and George W. Parrott have no definite plans for an apartment on part of the Winecoff lot. which they bought Wednesday, ac cording to Mr. Parrott. Recently Mr. McKee abandoned temporarily plans to erect an apartment on his home lot at No. 721 Piedmont avenue, and the acquisition of the new parcel gave rise to the report hat he would build there. Mr. v Parrott says nothing wiH be known of plans for the parcel until Pel ruaiy 16, 1914. Twenty thousand cash was paid by Mr. l'arrott and Mr. McKee for a 3K7 by 400 foot lot cut from the big lot of W. F. Winecoff at Inman circle and Seventeenth street. The Winecoff stone house, which was offered two years ago as a site for the Governor’s Mansion, is at the top of the hill on this lot, and there was considerable speculation in realty circles as to the character of improvement that would be put near It. Moves to Druid Hills. Charles P. Byrd, head of the Byrd Printing Company, has moved into his handsome new home in Druid Hills. The house was started in the spring and is reported to have cost about $25,000. Sale of 78 Acres. Seventy-eight acres of land in land lot 4 of the Fourteenth District will be sold at the courthouse door the first Tuesday in October for the es tate of the late James T. Jordan. This property consists of frontage on the Forrest road, In a division of 76 and 2 acres. Signs of Good Business. Now that fall has come there are some unmistakable signs of returning business activity. One of these is the great number of Inquiries concerning real estate. Agents report as much interest in property as at any time during the year, and the only thing that keeps certain would-be buyers and sellers apart Is the desire of the former to get too much for their money, and the determination of the latter to hold on until conditions are again normal. A notable sign in this connection Is the increasing volume of newspaper advertising, not only on Sunday but In the daily papers. The volume of daily advertising has almost doubled. Date for Creek Work. Residents In the Peachtree Creek neighborhood heard with a great deal of satisfaction that Peachtree Creek is to be cleared of trash, starting Monday, the city and the county hav ing appropriated $500 each toward the job. The citizens claim that propertv values will steadily increase as. soon as good banks are built along the REAL ESTATE FOR SALE. REAL ESTATE FOR SALE. APARTMENTS FOR RENT. APARTMENTS FOR RENT.
