The negroes held are Will Hamp ton, alias "Teddy," James Brown, alias ‘‘Country,’' Charles Curtiss and Tom Jackson. Although officials of the Southern Bell will not give any details, it is known that about $3,000 worth of copper wire has been stolen within a few weeks. The National Furniture Company, which at the present time is shut down, was rifled of plumbing and brass fixtures a short time ago.
