received here to-day from Rear

British cruiser Suffolk, flagship of
British cruiser squadron in West

Admiral Sir Christopher (’rad

Orozco was known to the local au

rustler, and had but recently joined
the Federal force at Ojinaga.
Mutiny is reported to have broken

Miss Keller to Rest
Before Appearance;
Comes Saturday A. M,
Miss Helen Keller and her teacher,
Mrs Macy, will arrive in Atlanta on
Saturday morning, ready for the lec
ture in the Auditorium-Armory Sat
urday night.
They will stop at the Hotel Ansley,
where they will rest until evening.
The public appearances are somewhat
of a strain on the highly sensitive
nature of Miss Keller, and rest prior
to her lectures is necessary.
T he Atlanta Chapter of the Daugh
ters of the Confederacy prevailed on
Miss Keller to come to Atlanta before
she retired permanently from the lec
ture platform, and she will appear
under the auspices and for the benefit
of this organization.

MEXICO CITY, Dec. 19.—Rebel

Ammunition Short.
A nrave ammunition shortage faces
ie Mexican Government. There are
no.000 rounds of cartridges left in
ic* arsenal owing to the reckless use
f ammunition by the Federal*. This
would be insufficient to resist a con
certed attack on the city. No more
mmunition can be secured unless It
is taken from the Vera Cruz arsenal,
which 1s already short. An arnmunl
lion shipment from Europe is not ex
pected for some time.
Five hundred Federal soldierj aro
reported to have deserted at Axo-

of Morelos and Puebla, Joining the
Zapatistas.
The Government to-day advertised
he gambling privileges of Federal
district for $50,000 and a share of
the profits. This Shows the dire finan
cial straits of Huerta.

Hobson taking the affirmative. Hob

that he will debate ‘the question of j

"I have no knowledge of the work

“The issue between Hobson and pie

been no evajrlon of the Issue on my
part. It seems pitiful to be obliged
to address these matters to Alabama
instead of to Washington, where Hob

Expeit Lays Particular Emphasis
on Grace and Precision of
Each Movement,
There is tangoing and tangoing.
This much Atlanta society has
learned in the brief time that Miss
Donna Bain has been giving exposi
tions of the modern dance steps at
the Piedmont Driving Club.
Dancing, of course, is not a diver
sion with Miss Bain. It is a profes
sion. Consequently, It is not surpris
ing that she glides and dips and floats
about a ballroom floor with consid
erably mere alriaees and grace than
the mere amateur.
Young society, women—and the
young men us well—have been great
ly Impressed by the dances shown by
Miss Bain. They have wondered that
there could be so much difference in
the tango as it commonly is danced
at al! of the society functions and as
It is demonstrated by this young
woman whose home was in Atlanta
until six years ago, when she went to
New York and then abroad to make a
close study of the various dances of
the world.
The tango, for example, Miss Bain
dances with a rhythm and grace that
takes away from her interpretation of
it the suggestion of a calisthenic ex
ercise or a drill that a studied pre
cision ordinarily gives a dance step.
Miss Bain is precise. There is no
question about that. Those who sit at
her feet to learn And that she insists
upon doing it “Just so.” But while
she is a stickler for the fundamental
principles of the dance, she lays just
as much emphasis on the grace that
