SITS Expert Lays Particular Emphasis on Grace and Precision of Each Movement. There is tangoing and tangoing. This much Atlanta society lias learned in the brief time that Miss Donna Bain has been giving exposi tions of the modern dance steps at the Piedmont Driving Club. Dancing, of course, Is not a diver sion with Miss Bain. It is a profes sion. Consequently, it is not surpris ing that she glides and dips and floats about a ballroom floor with consid erably mere aidless and grat e than the mere amateur. Young society women—and the young men as well—have been great ly Impressed by the dances shown by Miss Bain. They have wondered that there could be so much difference in the tango as*it commonly Is danced at all of the society functions and as it is demonstrated by this young woman whose home was In Atlanta until six years ago, when she went to New York and then abroad to make a close study of the various dances of the world. The tango, for example, Miss Bain dances with a rhythm and grace that takes away from her interpretation of “Captain Sidestepping as Usual," He Says of Debate Challenge Acceptance. WASHINGTON, Her 19. 'Hobson is now on his way to get his attend ance record to seven hour* a session,” to-day declared Representative Dono van, of Connecticut, who, after sev-, eral tilts with Representative Rich mond P. Hobson yesterday, challenged the Alabaman to a Joint debate on the subject of absenteeism “The genial Captain Hobson is side stepping as usual.' laid Donovan. "I challenged him to debate the ques tion, ‘Resolved, That absence from Congress by Representatives In good health Is honest and Justifiable,’ with Hobson taking the affirmative. Hob son came back with the statement that he will debate 'the question of criminality, to include appearances before grand Juries on charges of irregularities in the liquor traffic.’ “I have no knowledge of the work ings of a grand Jury—that Is to fi&y, none has ever passed on any acts of mine at any time—and I can not de bate a question I am not familiar with. “The issue between Hobson and me has been absenteeism, and there has been no evasion of the issue on my part. It seems pitiful to be obliged to address these matters to Alabama Instead of to Washington, where Hob son’* duties demand his presence.” Gift Umbrellas 10* on After you have looked over ev erything else—give an Umbrella.
