Wide Interest was manifested in the
marriage of Miss Bessie Howard and
Homer Carey Pitts on Tuesday after
noon at the Rose Hill Presbyterian
Church, the ceremony being performed
by Dr 1 ri. McKlroy. They will reside
at Fort Mitchell. Ala.
Last Wednesday evening several of
the most intimate friends of Miss Mary
Billings gave her a surprise party, the
occasion being in honor of her fifteenth
birthday. Games were enjoyed.
Mrs. Barschall Andrews was the hos
tess of the Advanced Auction Club Mon
day afternoon, when she entertained its
